The company’s November international sales are also showing no signs of slowing down, with 22 cranes being sold across six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Abu Dhabi and the Czech Republic.
UNIC delivered a URW-094 to Arco Engineering in Essex, a URW-095 spider crane to Mars Petcare in Melton Mowbray, two URW-295 to Burnley Council and Dowlen Technic Limited and a URW-376 to Wise Steelwork in Oxfordshire, within days of each other.
Mars Petcare produces well known pet foods such as Whiskas and Pedigree from its Melton Mowbray location. The petrol LPG crane is 415 volt, with a searcher hook option, and will be used for maintenance of the production line. The Mars team who will be operating the crane also attended UNIC’s specialist training centre for A66 CPCS training.
Burnley Council bought a URW 295 crane, mainly for the purpose of lifting and resetting fallen grave stones, an application for which UNIC mini cranes have become increasingly popular, following on from their use at Yardley Memorial in Birmingham. UNIC Cranes Europe also supplied the stone lifting clamp to minimize manual handling.

The compact size of the cranes means that these mini spider cranes are the best and often the only machines for the job, due to the confined working areas.
